Mega Bomberman would be a lot better if it didn't suffer from the horrible slow-down problems that it does when a lot of sprites are on the screen. It's worth playing for a while but you'll likely get bored of it before too long. Let's face it: there are better Bomberman games out there. This one does sport a 2-player mode but unfortunately it is only a vs. mode and you can't play cooperative. I really don't know why this is. Maybe 2-player cooperative was just too much for the Genesis to handle (seeing how much slow-down this game already suffers from).

All in all, a cute and colorful yet not-so-thrilling game.
