Better known as Chaos Engine, this game was an Amiga classic, which is probably the reason why I bought it for the Sega Genesis. Of course it's nice not to have to wait for the game to load off a floppy disk like I had to with my Amiga, but the downside is the music of the Genesis is very tinny and weak in comparison.

In terms of gameplay, Soldiers of Fortune more or less plays like Gauntlet, though you can only play with two players instead of four. The gameplay mechanics are very similar, however, and you even have the same top-down view. The object is to get through every level -- either alone or with a teammate -- by blasting monsters, picking up keys and powerups, and unlocking different doors.

Not a thrilling game but not bad either. It might entertain you for a while.
